photo journal for Costa Blanca

Translating to “White Coast”, the Costa Blanca has been visited by millions of Brits each year for decades. Some may know it best for the Stag and Hen Parties attracted in droves to the town of Benidorm each summer, but journey further out and loud beach crowds make way for natural beauty.

Turquoise waters swallow sandy beaches with a backdrop of jagged cliffs and old towns, built at the Province’s highest points. Iberians predated Greek, Roman and Islamic influences on the area where 100 castles tell the story of conquerers, their battles and the royalty they served.

While history lovers can study the architecture, tracing each stone back to its source, the real joy of the Costa Blanca is a hint of salt in the air and looking out into the distance where sky blends into sea.
